The CMETrust Alumni Association is a registered Community-Based Organization in Kenya. It was formed by our alumni so that they could continue to support each other and the Mathare community. They meet regularly, and in addition to helping to organize and run CMETrust activities such as the school-break programs they are active in the broader community.  

This is their story, in their own words:

“As a form of appreciation and thanks to the Canada Mathare Education Trust organization we came together to eradicate illiteracy and provide solution as we can to the community of Mathare and the neighbouring slums since we are at the service of community and proudly raised up in the slum.”
